The dust is black there

While driving home, Ethan and I were chatting about school and the new classmates that joined this term. He mentioned 2 new ones "who are of Fijian descent." So I asked him if he knows what his descent was - his own origin. He had this to say:

Ethan: Philippines. I was born there. But you made the best decision to move to Australia. It's a lot better than the Philippines. The dust there is black! Here it's brown!

I didn't even realise they were different!
