Bubwit is growing... like a tree (or more like a bonzai).Almost doubled the size since the last photoshoot (este ultasound scan), Bubwit is now 1.77cm and more than 8 weeks old.
The OB visit went well today, sans a little schedule mix up on my part (sorry love). We chose a private OB this time instead of going to the hospital. It proved to be a good decision coz the OB was fantastic. Really nice and helpful to us, being new expecting parents.
Well, the doctor confirmed that Bubwit is doing well and the likely due date is 27 Dec. I'm hoping Bubwit comes out on my birthday. (Wouldn't that make a great story if, since we found out about Bubwit on Lani's birthday, we will finally get to meet him/her on my birthday?)
Anyway, when the OB did the ultrasound, she called me in so I can see Baby Bubwit myself. And I say it was surreal!
It was a rush seeing Bubwit and hearing her heart beating so fast. It was out of this world. One of those 'is this really happening?' moments, when everything goes slow-mo and you're just enjoying what your seeing. And it's making you teary-eyed even if in reality, you're just looking at a "slab of cells" - as the doctor described it. Really wonderful sight.
So, next appointment is June 11, Wednesday, at 9am (remind me please).

it really is a joy to feel, even if it is only through a written acount, the genuine excitement and love by an expectant father for a much anticipated baby. i truly feel the same, not that i am expecting one, mind you, but for your very special bubwit. i feel that he/or she is my baby too. i am pretyy excited and am looking forward to its birth. can't wait to see you guys. especially you lani, i am pretty psyched just imagining you radiant with the growing bulge in your tummy. :)
