Lani and I have been dreaming for this moment since we first stepped in Aussie soil on 14th of March 2004. I remember it like it was yesterday. A company incentive trip but Lani, Donnel, Leila, Marti, and I decided we'd go a few days in advance of the pack so we can visit family. Donnel had his Tita Susan and family and I had my Tito Toto here.
We arrived on the 14th, a Sunday, and was picked up by Donnel's tita. Lani and I asked to be dropped of at Arncliffe so we can attend worship service. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find the place of worship (didn't have Google Maps at that time) and we ended up strolling around the area, then took a train ride to Pymble where they lived.
It was the start of a great journey that brought us to Singapore, a short fling with Canada, and an eventual landing in Sydney, Australia. We hope and pray that this is our final stop.
Now on to the next big one - the great Australian dream.
