When life throws you a curveball

The past six months had been somewhat a struggle for me health-wise — a long bout with severe abdominal pains and continuous diarrhea. I was initially diagnosed with indigestion, and after a week of no improvement, as gastroenteritis. It was the reason why I started my whole diet and weight loss thingie.

However even after shedding a lot of weight, I continued to experience pains particularly after bowel movement. They are severe enough to incapacitate me for hours on end, or until I fall asleep. Bloodtests and ultrasound didnt reveal anything and the doctor suggested it might be late-onset IBS triggered by gastroenteritis. He referred me to a gastro specialist.

The specialist thought it wont be anything serious because i'm still young and healthy/fit. My symptoms didn't sound too alarming. But we still agreed on colonoscopy just to be sure.

Today, I come out of the procedure shocked to know that I have a tumour in my colon. I will have to undergo surgery soon.

The good thing about this is, i know exactly what to do with this curveball As what Ethan loves to say, "I'm a pro at this!" So I will take my bat, close my eyes, and swing as hard as I can, letting go of all my doubts, all worries, and putting all my trust in God. Coz if faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains, what more can my faith do to a mere curveball?
