Chemo Dose 2

It’s been 3 weeks since my first dose, so it’s now time for dose #2. I got to the hospital early today as I had an appointment with my oncologist as well. Good thing was that the nurses in the chemo ward were happy to accommodate me despite me being 2 hours early for my treatment.

The treatment was uneventful, which was a good thing. The only thing they noted was my blood test showed a drop in my TSH levels, so I have hyperactive thyroids. Something that needs to be monitored over the course of my treatment.

After the infusion, I left the hospital feeling somewhat weird. I felt really fatigued, especially on my limbs. I wasn’t feeling any pain though. However, there was a metallic taste in my mouth and my head felt warm, like I’m flushed. I was nauseous - I felt like vomitting and my jaw felt like it was going to fall off. I probably was clenching my teeth because of the weird sensation.

I fell asleep as soon as I got home and felt a little better when I woke up. However the nausea remains. Hope it gets better tomorrow.
