Today, we experienced our first ever snow fall.
We went to Mayfield Gardens today, a scenic park 2hr45mins west of Sydney. The same place where we did our glamping before, but it was Autumn then, and this time it's winter. There was a bit of snow forecasted, but there wasn't any guarantee, so Lani was really hopeful that we'd see actually snow. And guess what, we did!
We left Carlingford at 7am in a caravan of 5 cars with church friends. After a brief stop at a petrol Blue Mountains, we drove further west to Oberon. Along the way, we were first met by rain, which suddenly turned into snow. Lani was ecstatic! It was enough to make our day. But we went on and headed to Mayfield Gardens to enjoy the scenery, despite the rain.
After a lot of walk, and lunch at the cafe, we drove back home to Sydney. There was heavy traffic, so we ended up home close to 8pm.
