New Year 2024 - Jervis Bay

We couldn't let the year pass without a final holiday, and we are just blessed that we have friends who do not forget us when they are doing their holiday plans.

The Serrano, Abinguna, Orosco, and Sanchez families invited us to join them in welcoming the new year at Jervis Bay! We wouldn't say no to that of course.

Saturday, 30 December

  • After performing our church duties, we rushed home to start packing up for the short 3-day trip
  • We expect nothing more than eating, singing, and laughing, so we didn't really pack a lot - just the entire kitchen. Tee hee.
  • I also brought my guitar and mics so I can enjoy a bit of busking at the holiday house
  • At past 9pm, we proceeded on to our 2.5 hours journey to Jervis Bay.
  • Gelo and Hanee followed us on a separate car coz Gelo was expecting a call from work on Monday.
  • Driving through heavy rain and little traffic, we reached our destination just close to midnight.
  • The Serranos were already there for most of the afternoon, the Abingunas arrived a few mins before us, and the Oroscos came in last, about 30mins after us.
  • Just as expected, though it was midnight we spend the next 2 hours in the living room chatting, eating, and laughing about everything.
  • It was past 2 am when we all went to bed.

Sunday, 31 December

  • 9am wake up time to prepare breakfast, or feast I should say - which was the theme for this trip.
  • We did karaoke while waiting for the rain to stop so we can head out
  • After lunch, we all went to Hyams Beach to dip in the sand and enjoy the waves, and pose among the rocks
  • Right around 6pm, we were back in the holiday house to prepare our new years eve feast
  • I took out the guitar and busked while everyone was busy. Managed to get the kids to sing along was well, which was really exciting.
  • Late night was spent eating and laughing, while we waiting for 12am and the NYE fireworks.
  • We all slept at around 1am

Monday, 1 January

  • Early rise again coz we had to checkout at 10am
  • Prepared breakfast, err brunch
  • We sang a bit again and had more laughs
  • Left the house at around 11am and travelled to the Kiama blowhole for more photops
  • Said our goodbyes and drove back to Sydney to end the holiday
