Trip to Johor Bahru

We went for a day trip to Johor Bahru today to visit Ka Marni and Mara (Ethan's girlfriend), and do a quick shopping for Ethan's upcoming birthday.

Joined by Bro JR Mundin, Lani and Ethan, we left home at around 10am and reached their Prima Regency condo at around 11:45, after about three U-turns through the Tebrau highway.

Ka Marni's place was very nice. Great view from their balcony and it has that breezy, relaxing province feeling. Ethan loved it there and he felt very much at home. Oh, and the rent is really really cheap. We had lunch at the clubhouse with Ka Marni, Marnell and Ka Amor, who was going to be our shopping guide. Lani enjoyed her Chicken Curry and even regretted giving me a bite.

After the visit, we headed down to Jalan Dedap 7, which is just off the Jalan Pandan highway. Lani bought a lot of stuff for Ethan's birthday - party favors and stuff. The stuff there are really cheap and there's a lot your can chose from.

Headed back to Singapore at around 4pm. Traffic was not so bad despite the holiday tomorrow but the trip would have been perfect if the car's aircon was blowing cold air.
