Lani has been craving for BBQ for a while now's . Not necessarily to eat, but to sit around a campfire, cook meat, and prepare smores. She's been yearning for this since we did our Vivid Sydney walk in May. In fact, she has been looking around for a BBQ pit that she could buy. And so she did.
Today, the pit that we ordered from Temu arrived. And so we quickly went to the shops to buy stuff to barbecue. Beef, pork, hotdogs, lettuce for the wrap, gochujang sauce, chips, chocolates to melt, strawberries to dip in them, marshmallows, graham biscuits for the smores, and everything else to make the night fun.
The kids were in on it, so it was a great moment.
I prepared the bluetooth speaker and Ethan played old songs while we all soaked in smoke under the marquee in our backyard. It tool us a while to get the fire going, but the charcoal burnt very well.
