Learning to write

Ethan is showing fast development yet again. The past week, he's been very much interested in writing letters. He enjoys playing the letter tracing app I got on the iPhone, and now he's already writing the letters on the magnetic drawing board.

Of course his writing is crooked and out of control, but the amazing thing is, he really knows the strokes of all the letters and numbers. He knows that A is 2 strokes down and 1 accross, and so is H. And letter E is 1 down and 3 accross. He doesn't like to write 8 with 2 circles, but he'd write it with 1 curling omega stroke. When he doesn't have his board or a pen/paper, he'd just write big letters in the air.

It's really fascinating to see. I know he's my son so I may be biased, but this is really the first time I've seen a kid this young do the things he's doing now. I'm soooo proud!

We've already enquired about the Giftedness test, but the institution said we have to wait til he's 2 1/2 to get conclusive readings.
