The boy who can't climb... no more!

I'm just a proud and happy father. Today, as we're playing at the Harris Park, Parramatta (or what Ethan calls Park No. 2 a.k.a. The Hill Slide Park), Ethan finally conquered his biggest fear - heights!

Envious of other children sliding down the biggest slide in the playground, Ethan went on to climb the rope play structure that leads to the slide. He didn't really get far, he climbed about 5 steps up which was about 3 feet off the ground then immediately asked for help, but man was I so happy!

I remember the days when Ethan would just tremble in fear on the steps of stairs. Or when he'd climb all the way up a slide (i.e. 3-4 feet high) and just stand there, stuck and not wanting to move anymore. He'd just cry for help and will not climb up anymore. He would just run around the play area and enjoy himself doing just that. The other children called him "The boy who can't climb." Sad moment. Well, not anymore! :D
