And finally, Ethan is now officially potty trained! Woo hoo!
We've been trying to teach Ethan to use the toilet for months now. We started kinda late - he was 3yr 10mos when we started - but still feels like a great accomplishment.
Since October, we've been trying to convince him to go to the toilet whenever he needs to weewee or pupu. Most often, he'd just do it in his underspants and will not even tell us.
Starting December though, he'd let us sit him on the toilet seat and he'd spend 30-40mins there trying both 1 and 2. He'd be playing his iPad while in there, of course.
Around late December, we started getting into a routine of me asking him if he wants to wee wee every 2-3hours. He would of course say no, but when I tell him I'm going to the toilet, he'd race me and try to do it before me.
By the end of January, he was already completely wee wee-trained. He'd already go to the toilet on his own, pee, then wash and dry his hands after. Zero accidents, except when sleeping. But he still not consistent with his number 2. Sometimes he tells us, but other times he'd just try to hold it and we have to beg him to go to the toilet.
Today, we had a big breakthrough. We were sitting on the couch when he suddenly stood and ran to the toilet. I thought he's just going to pee, but he wasnt back after a minute so i went to check and found this:
