The past week has been... uhh, unhealthy at home. We've all been sick.
First it was Nanay feeling weak and experiencing sore throat on Sunday. Then on Monday, I started to feel flu symptoms and I had to leave work midday to go home and rest. On Wednesday, Ethan started having fever, which shot up to 40.1deg for a couple of nights. Then on Friday, I had to skip work again coz Nanay and Lani were both feeling sick. Sigh, our house is slowly turning into a ward.
Ethan was the one hit the worst. He had high fever for most of the 3 days. Unfortunately, Ethan still has a problem with medicines. For some reason, he just can't take them orally. As soon as the spoon touches his lips, he'd regurgitate. And if we force it on him, he'd vomit. We have wasted almost half a bottle of Ibuprofen trying to get him to drink, and we also had to change bedsheets twice in a night because he puked several minutes after successfully downing a dose.
Last night, we had to resort to paracetamol suppositories and even that was not easy. Thank God we manage that do it and it did relieve the fever. Ethan was free of fever the whole day today, though his temp is already back at 38.4deg right now. Oh well, another sleepless night for Lani and I.
