Chemo cycle 6, hopefully the last

Cycle 6 of my chemotherapy is upon me now. I had the Oxaliplatin infusion on march 28. The side effects are still there, pains and weird sensations, feeling of getting choked when it's cold, tiredness, and I still have a big bruise around the infusion site.

But it's all not that bad. The long weekend had been very eventful so it was a great distraction. We had a church socialising on Friday at Holroyd Park, hosted our first Saladmaster lunch demo on Saturday, went fishing (or rather picnic-ing) on Sunday, and went to Taronga zoo on Monday. So while I was feeling nauseous and tired most of the time, I was also having great fun with my family.

And the one thing I'm really looking forward to is that this may be my last infusion. I really dread this infusion, specially the numbing pain and the choking on anything cold. And it's getting more and more difficult now that it's autumn and the temp at night is usually at mid-teens. I've woken up a few times struggling to breathe.

Anyway, let's see what the doctor will say when I see him next week.
