Here's how it went.
MANILA
Oct 17, Saturday
- Flew to Manila on the 12:35pm flight with Lani, the kids, and Nanay.
- Arrived at 5:30pm, PH time. Kang, Kuya Roy, Ate Cel, Anne, and TJ were there waiting for us.
- Drove to Mall of Asia for our home-cooked Filipino dinner, care of TJ's mom.
- We stayed at MOA a bit more after to kill time and avoid heavy traffic. Did some shopping at SM and had Sago-Gulaman at Goldilocks
- At about 10pm, we headed to Teng's condo at Aurora Blvd, QC.
- Woke up early for worship service at local of Cubao. Ethan said he liked Sydney's CWS more because "we didn't have to walk up the stairs to attend worship service".
- In the afternoon, we went to Dr Patty Reynoso's house for Lani's college friends reunion with Patty, Marti, Roschelle, and Chris.
- Went to Teng's house to fetch Nanay, Amy and her kids
- Then after dropping Nanay and Erin off at the condo, the rest of us went to Fisher Mall to watch the Felix Manalo Movie. There wasn't any English subtitle, so Ethan got bored and slept about 30mins into the movie.
- Then a late dinner at Causeway restaurant with Teng's family.
- Stayed in the condo for much of the day.
- Lani and I had an early morning walk around Broadway Centrum (where the condo is) to buy some stuff. Bought taho and pandesal for breakfast.
- Ethan and Erin spent a lot of time playing with Amy's kids.
- In the afternoon, we went to Marikina to visit Ethan's cousins - Lei, Kate, Dana, Joan and the family.
- Went to Trinoma and SM North to look for Cluedo game board for Ethan (which we couldn't find), buy a gown for Lani (for Chen's wedding), and a stroller for Erin.
- Then went to dinner with Teng and Ate Cel at Razon's mom's restaurant.
- Oh and we bump into Ate Hanee Sanchez at Trinoma.
