Ethan's 7th Birthday

Ethan's celebrations started early this year because Ethan wanted to celebrate in school. He said it's something "I haven't done in my whole life" so we decided it's best we give in to his life's wish. Or he might turn even more melodramatic.

So on the very last day of class for the year, 16 Dec, we brought in a bunch of Maccas Happy Meals and lots of cupcakes (c/o Ka Hilda) to keep the little ones happy.

Ethan was happy and satisfied.

Then on his actual birthday, we decided we'd go to Jamberoo Action Park, a water park 100km south of Sydney.

Lani and I took the day off work.

The day turned out wet and gloomy but Ethan didn't mind. In fact, he had the time of his life and even said "it's good that it rained the whole day, coz there's more water for me to play in."

Ethan and I enjoyed all of the rides even the big ones like the Funnel Web and the Taipan. He also tried all the slides. But the sections he enjoyed the most were the kids' play structure and the wave pool. I guess he is still a kid after all.

Erin also enjoyed her time in the kids' area even though she was shivering the whole time (it was cold because of the rain).

Then at the end of the day, we gave him a couple more gifts that we knew he liked - a Cluedo boardgame and a View Master Virtual Reality goggles.
