Hunter Valley 2018

We've been so busy the past few weeks with work and school and church and rehearsals and other things, so we thought we'd take a couple of days break during the school holidays.

Lani found a Snow Time event happening at Hunter Valley Gardens so we quickly booked a stay near there. We initially wanted to go on the Sunday the 8th for a 3-day vacation, but the kids have choir rehearsals so we ended up going on Monday and stayed overnight.

We stayed at Harrigan's, a lovely small hotel just outside the gardens. The room was big and had 2 double beds, a terrace, and air-conditoning. There is a pub just across the room where they serve delicious dinner and breakfast. They also have a small kids play area with bouncing castles.

Hunter Valley gardens was less than a kilometer away. We spent most of our 2 days walking around the gardens, playing in the snow, eating, face-painting, ice-skating (or failing at it) and just pretty much bonding and relaxing. Erin got herself a puppy - a balloon puppy to be exact.

We left afternoon of Tuesday to headed back to Sydney, but only after passing by the famous chocolate shops of Hunter Valley.
