Blue Mountains 2020

Lockdown is coming down upon us again, as Covid-19 infection rates continue to increase. So we’ve taken the last opportunity in a likely future to spend time outside.

With some close friends, we visited the Blue Mountains today.

First, we headed to the Echo Point lookup for the customary visit to the Three Sisters. The Luzons and Jarazas were already there for a bit when we arrived so after some photos we quickly headed out to feed our hungry tummies. We went to the nearby Milk Bar restaurant to enjoy burgers, fries, and (not-so-good) milkshakes,

We then went to Scenic World to see more of Blue Mountains. Too bad though, the booking slot available was an hour and half away so we spend a bit of time in the near by park first.

At 3pm, we got into Scenic World and enjoyed our Round-trip Scenic Cableway cable-car ride showcasing the 360 view of the mountains and falls. Then we rode the Scenic Railway, the worlds steepest railway, which took us down to the bottom of the forest bed. The kids, of course, enjoyed the rollercoaster-like feel of the ride. Then we walked the short Scenic Walkway to enjoy the views and riches of the mountains, before heading back up via the Scenic Skyway cabled tram.

After, we headed to the Chocolate Factory for cakes and Real-Choco drinks.

We ended the day with a Bangkok Snap take away dinner that we ate at the Jarazas.
