Picnic at Clifton Gardens Playground

Weather has been exceptionally bad the past few weeks. It hasn't stopped raining. So whenever we get a small glimpse of the sun, we take the opportunity to go out and enjoy it.

Today, we headed to the Clifton Gardens Playgound in Mosman, NSW. It's a short 30-min drive from our place and was a completely unplanned trip.

After finishing our church duties for the day (it was a Sunday), the Maduli's decided they would go fishing in the late afternoon. We didn't have any plans so we decided to tag along.  The Luzons were in the city at the time, but since Mosman wasn't too far from the city, they too decided to follow. We agreed to meet at the venue around 3pm.

At around 12nn, Lani and I were back home to get the kids ready. We didn't really bring anything with us other than extra pairs of clothes (there's water so I expected the kids to get wet). We passed by Boaster Chickens for take out lunch, headed straight to the place and got there just before 3pm. We ended up earlier than everyone so we enjoyed our time on the benches eating our late lunch. Everyone else arrived just before 3:30pm.

The place was wonderful. It's a playground situated in a cove, plenty of greeneries, plenty of play structures for the kids, a basketball court, a beach to swim in (water was murky so we didn't), and there's a long jetty going to the sea where here's plenty of people fishing.

Dennis, Arien, and I played basketball. The kids went to the playground. The moms did their 10k steps around the park. Aris, Aeron, and Erin went fishing. Erin caught 2 small fish within her first 3 attempts. Later on Aeron caught one which was a lot bigger then Erin's loot. There were kingfisher birds trying to steal fish from people's hook lines. And at one point, a seal came by the jetty and started chasing fish around.

When it started to get dark, we all drive back to Carlingford. We decided to have dinner at the Madulis with the fish that they caught and some tuna that was given to us by the Romasantas earlier in the day.
