Port Stephens Jan 2024

As a last hurrah for the school holidays, and to take advantage of the Australian Day long weekend, we decided to go on a short staycation at Oaks Pacific Blue Resort in Port Stephens.

We got a great for-1 deal, that is two adjoining hotels rooms for the price of one. The first and bigger room was a 1-bedroom studio apartment with a sofa bed in the lounge room. It was a full kitchen, a large living area, a big dining table, and a balcony overseeing the magnificent pool that surrounds the entire resort. The second room was a small standard two twin bed hotel room with a bath.  Unfortunately, it was too sudden that none of our friends were available to join us. So Ethan ended up using the second room, while Erin enjoyed the sofa bed in our lounge on her own.

The resort itself is wonderful. The main attraction is the pool. It goes around the entirety of the complex and it takes about 20mins to swim/paddle to circle the entire thing. We bought floaters at first, but realised it was too small for it. So we bought 2 floating boats to truly enjoy the pool.
