Ok, remember my post about the Daddy gift ideas? Well, wish granted... in a way.
I don't wanna pre-empt it, but i think Lani's buying me a new guitar!!! Yeah baby!
I was showing her this thread from a local (Singapore) music forum that I frequent. She commented that it's very nice and that I should buy it. Of couse pakipot muna ako, but she insisted and said that I deserve it. (Touch ako. My love is really the best! Kaya nga I like her, don't you?)So tomorrow, I'm gonna check back on the forum and ogle on this guitar. I will call the seller and give it a try. I will lay my hands on it, maybe play a little bit of blues, and re-live my days of playing a strat.
Then, I will take a step back to Earth, go home and kiss my lovely wife, thank her for the kind and genuine offer... that I am declining.
Why? Here's why:
- I want a Fender, not a Squire.
- White is clean and all, but Black rocks!
- SGD 250 vs SGD 2000? Come on!!
- Do I really need another guitar?
- ... when I'm not even playing in a band
- ... much less getting paid for playing
- The money is better saved for hospital bills
- ... Or spent on milk and diapers
- ... Or a stroller
- ... Or college tuition

UPDATE: Dreadfully regretting this blog entry now. The white strat does look very HOT, doesn't it? (Sigh) Love, touch move na ba?

Cool bro! But you know, priorities change, especially now that you're going to be a daddy. But if there's something to look forward to, that is playing the guitar with your kid, and encouraging him/her to join a band as well! When that time comes, you know where to get a vocalist! ;) Will be sending you some of the foods you craved for somehow one of these days. I could ask Keu to give it to you! ;)
