Ethan really loves singing

He does. He's really shown great appreciation of music and has always shown passion for singing.

When he was 5 months old, he would hum whenever Mommy's rocking him to sleep. Watch the 2 min video of it here. A few months after, we heard him singing along with his guitar toy to the tune of Love Shack! And he is hitting the right notes, even the curves in baaa---byyyyyy.

He's got good tune and good timing. In fact, just say, "I've got a feelin'" and he'll follow it up with a high-pitched "Huuuh!" as in "WooHoo!" coupled with a bobbing head.

So it wasn't really a surpise to us to hear him sing with the Baby DVDs that we play on the TV everyday, like the Baby Signing Time DVD with the songs Here I Go (where he learned how to say Bike), One Shoe (very funny when he sings 'I---reeeaaaaaa' on the part 'i really love my shoe'), and of course, Special To Me (his favorite sleep song, where he got the infamous 'I KNOW!' phrase).

Well, he's not really singing entire lines, more like bits and pieces. Like 2-3 notes of the beginning of the bar, then stop, then the last 2-3 notes again. e.g. Happy Birthday as sang is Dada-Biiii-pause-Yu! Last night though, while watching the Baby Bright DVD, he sang 2 complete bars of notes with the musical shapes thingie. Galing!

We think he's gifted. We're gonna enroll him to some music class soon. Who knows, we may be raising up a savant!
