The day my iphone died...

Yup, after a long bout with ah.. Ethan, the phone finally succumb to its fateful demise. It's officially dead! Won't boot up, wont even charge. I guess the drowning was its last straw.

As Lani posted on her facebook profile:
"Jonathan's iphone finally died. May you rest in peace. Your life wasn't easy but we are eternally grateful for your service. You will never be forgotten."

It was with us for almost a year. I got it from Singtel Marine Parade on 19 of March, 2010. Since then on it had endured numerous struggles, from being soaked in the shower and the tub numerous times, to bearing the scars of its unwinnable battle with Ethan's teeth.

In it's first 3 months with us, its warranty had already been voided because of water damage resulting from Ethan's, errr oral secretions (saliva).

In it's worst battles, it had come out gravely wounded and had to be sent to the hospital (iPhone Repair SG, 261 Waterloo Street, Waterloo Center, #02-21)  for revival. I had already sent it for speaker replacement, home button replacement, and the most recent, front glass replacement (my bad, there).

Oh, it had endured even more. Injuries that it never complained about. The broken vibration switch, broken vibrator, non-functioning Sleep/Wake button, and a badly disfigured chasis.

Truely, this iphone deserves to rest. We will miss it dearly.
