OMG, we're going down under!!!

I'm sooo happy! Just came out of the meeting room after a 45-min telephone interview with the Australia team. I can't say for certain, but from the looks of it, we're headed down under!!! Yey!

It all started just before the new year, when my boss spoke to me about a possible expansion of role, or maybe a complete shift to it. The company needed a Techincal Manager for the regional DTP team and was being looked at as one of the candidates. In the middle of our conversation, he mentioned that Australia needed an Infrastructure person and our director did throw in my name. A few days after, Lani's boss also mentioned to her that the director was considering having us there.

Late last month, I took the bold stance and asked our Director if there was indeed an opportunity for us in Australia. After 2 weeks of waiting, he called me in his office and said yes, there is and he wants me to go. But, he wanted me to prove myself instead of him forcing the OZ team to take me on.

Five days after, at 1:45pm, I came out of a panel phone interview a very very very happy man!

I don't know how we're gonna get there yet, but I know that we are.
