I had been planning to tint my car windows for a few months now and it was just great coincidence that I just received the roll of tinting film that I bought from ebay and I was scheduled to guard the INC chapel. So I asked Papa to guard with me and we spent the whole night tinting the car in darkness. The results was not bad but wasn't so good either. Small bubbles here and there and some crooked cuts in different places.
The funny part was that when we finished at around 3:30pm, we decided we were already going home but the car won't start anymore. The battery got drained because of our constant use of the power windows while the engine was off (we were applying the tint).
So I spend the next hour and a half trying to get help - ka Marcel who had his phone on silent, NRMA who didn't want to help unless I pay a $220 membership fee, and another 24hour road-side assistance company who can only come at 8am (funny!). At around 5am, I gave up and we went in the car to sleep.
I woke up just before 6am and tried starting the car again to no avail. A few minutes later, Ka Raniel came out for his morning devotional prayer and saw us in our misery. He offered help and we managed to start the car using his van's battery. We went home and left the car engine running till 8am to drive down to the the repair shops for a new battery. And guess what, the battery tested fine.
