I've been trawling Ebay and gumtree for weeks now trying to find a cheap digital piano. And last night I found a really cheap one that still works - a $50 Yamaha Clavinova CLP 250. I texted the seller and he was happy to meet up even though it was late (9:30pm) so I went and bought it right away.

The piano is old (1997 according to the owner) but still in decent condition. It is big and heavy! It's a basic piano with just 3 tones (Piano, Electronic Piano, and Hardps/Chords), a power button, volume control, and ports for Headphone, Midi in/out, and pedals. There's nothing fancy about it. It's a simple piano with realistic grand piano sounds. The keys are Graded Hammer but since they are old, some are already sticky.
As with most other instruments that I've bought, buying is just half the fun. Restoring it completes the experience for me, so I'm really excited to open it this piano and work on the insides. I'll probably do it tonight.
Happy me!
