... unfortunately, that is not the question. Because there is no doubt I will undergo C. Chemotherapy, that is.
We just got back from the oncologist's office and the plan is to have me start chemotherapy next week. We were hoping to push it back a little, at least until after the church Thanksgiving which also happens to be my birthday. But there are just some things you can't let wait - just like Lani (love you Mommy!).
I will be on Adjuvant XELOX therapy, which is a combination of tablets (Xeloda) and infusions (Oxaliplatin). It's a 3-week cycle that will run for about 6 months or 8 cycles.
The doctor said I will not lose my hair which is a pleasant news, though he warned that it may "thin" down. Whatever that means. He's given us some information sheets with all the side effects and things to expect. I've read them so I know what to watch out for, but I'm pretty positive I won't be too affected. Just as Bro Francis wrote in his note to me, I have the best defence, even cancer can't score on me!
