Ballerina turns into a Clownfish

Busy day for us today. Erin resumes kinder ballet class with Mommy at 9:05am. There were a few more routines introduced today and Erin participated in all of them. She's doing very well according to Mommy. She's the only kid who's tip-toeing most of the time and her "curtsy" bow is actually very good.

At 12nn, Erin started her first formal swim class at the Parammatta Dolphin Swim School. She was placed on the Clownfish class, a step higher than Starfish a.k.a. beginner's class. That means they're  no longer accompanied by parents. It was also the first time she's swimming without her floaters/arm-bands. As we expected, she enjoyed it. She was very confident in the water, much more than we're comfotable with in fact. She definitely enjoyed her freedom - from both the thick floaters that we always put around her arms and from her parents that constantly nag her on what to and not to do.
She thinks she can already swim like a pro and would always wander away from the pool's edge. She likes to dive in the water and can hold her breath a good 5-6 seconds.

Ethan also resumed swim class today and has gone up one level. He is now on Octopus class where they're taught freestyle breathing and backstroke skills. I watched him do a "rocket swim" and thought his form was really good.

Looking forward to next Saturday!
