Erin's 1st day in school

Today is Erin's first ever day in school and she handled it like a champion! We've enrolled her in a Montessori preschool beside Kuya Ethan's. It was small and they only have about 20 kids enrolled.

We brought her there today at around 9am, just after dropping of Ethan. Upon entering the compound, she went straight to the play area and didn't look back to us anymore. We stayed about 30mins to watch her and she seemed cool with it. When it was time to go, we said goodbye and told her we will come back for her in the afternoon and all she said was "ok, bye!"  Lani said she thought the anxiety will make her cry more than Erin.

I came back to pick up her at 3:00pm and she was doing fine. It was just like any other day to her. I spoke to the teacher and she said Erin was great. No tantrums, participated in all their activities, went to the loo on her own, ate lunch and snacks on her own, and did some artwork with little help.

I did notice that she was unusually quiet. I've seen this before, usually when we bring her to church and there are some kids there she's not familiar with. So I'm sure she'll be back to her non-stop talking self once she gets more acquainted with her schoolmates.

Proud of the little one.
