Erin's dirty mouth

3yo Erin is a joker. She likes being silly and loves making people laugh. Her only problem is that her vocabulary is still small so she tends to repeat the same jokes which is usually cute. However, when she's already lost for words, she always goes back to one favorite word, her go-to clincher - poopoo!

Almost every joke will end with poopoo. She inserts it in every discussion every which way she can.
It was funny at first (and funny still at times), but sometimes it can be inappropriate.

We were at the Big Banana on Monday watching a candy-making workshop. The presenter added a very fragrant ingredient into the mix which caused the room to be filled with very strong lemoney smell. It was delicious. As everyone was quietly enjoying the aroma, Erin suddenly uttered "it smells like poopoo!" We giggled a bit but it was quite embarrassing. So from that point on, "poopoo" was no longer allowed unless she really has to go to the loo.

On the drive back home on Tuesday, we were joking around again when Erin joined in. We knew she was going to say poopoo at one point but was suprised when she didn't. In one instance, we were already expecting it when she suddenly paused, hesitated, and then uttered "weewee". We laughed. It was clever and really funny.

Ethan, ever so concerned, asked Lani "should we also ban that word?"

Lani answered, "But what will she say if we ban that?"

Erin, quick-minded and ever-silly, interjected, "booger?"

And so we know now, our little Erin has a very filthy mouth.
