Erin is a given, she's a definite Mommy's girl and she's been missing Mommy ever since she stepped out of the bedroom (not even the house). But with Ethan, it's a little different. He's more reserved and he focuses his attention on other things (iPad and computer) that you don't here him say he misses anyone - unless you ask him.
Last night was a little different though. Erin decided she'd sleep in the grandparents' room so I had the room to myself (she usually sneaks in at midnight). And I think Ethan saw this as an opportunity to bond. He went into the room complaining that he's not comfortable on his bed so I told him to lie down beside me. I was watching a music video at that time so he said, "can I show you a song I like?" We ended up watching music videos for 3 hours. He showed me the music he likes and I showed him what I like. We agreed that while we both have a wide range of tastes, we both have strong affinity to sad, emotionally powerful songs.When it was already past 1am, I told him it was time to sleep so he got up my bed and moved to his. I asked why, and he replied "my bed is more comfortable".
