Around this time of the year, I usually write a short post to either document the events during our year-end break, or reflect upon the big events throughout the year. This year I thought I'd look back at this year that past, not necessarily by choice, but because we cannot ignore that craziness that we all went through. And to be honest, there's really not much else to document in the past 2 weeks - I already wrote a post on our trip on the first week of our break, and the second week was pretty much uneventful - just stay at home and watching K-Drama.
When I think of 2020, there are a few words that come to mind.
- Work From Home - because that's what we've been doing since Mar 18.
- Webex - because that's that I have been doing almost everyday since Mar 24 when worship services, meetings, devotional prayers, and other church activities we're all moved online.
- Basketball - because I got to do much more of this now since I've saved the travel time to and from work
- K-Drama - because Lani and I have watched numerous Korean TV Series since COVID started. And truth be told, I cannot count how many we've watched anymore.
There's also been very little social events unlike previous years, where we'd hold gatherings in the church and dinners with friends. And in fact, even our new year celebration have been reduced to family only, when in the past 5 years at least, we've been celebrating the eve with hundreds of friends at the church compound. Good thing, the Maduli family passed by our house to bring some gifts and decided to stay over for the countdown. At least we had some friends to share our lovely cheese platter with. :D
