It's always sad to say good bye, but sometimes, it's just a best thing to do.
I'm really sad that we're letting go off our Kia Cerato. It's been our daily driver to and from the office since we bought it in Dec 2017. It's been with us to many trips up and down the coasts of Sydney. But alas, it was time to let go.
Since COVID started last year, we've really traveled sparingly and having two cars wasn't practical anymore. It made sense before when Papa was still here and needed a car to drive the kids around and for the trips to the grocery. But since he's still back in the Philippines, one of the cars is really just getting neglected in the garage.
Lani and I decided it didn't make sense to keep paying for finance on the newer car and we already fully own the older, but still reliable, big car. And in fact, whenever we go on out of town trips, it was still the big car that we drove, so it was not as if we don't like the big car anymore. After a couple of weeks of talks, we finally bit the bullet and sold the Kia.
Yesterday, a buyer came in an took the car for a test. He was happy with it and promised to return to close the deal. Today, he came back first thing in the morning to collect the car. And so it was goodbye to a young friend. Bye bye, Cerato.
