Ethan's Year 7 camp

Ethan had a blast in his first 2 camps in primary school - first being the Year 5 camp at Milson Island in 2019, then the Leadership camp at Mongo in late 2020 that Ethan said was truly inspirational. So he was extremely excited to be going on yet another camp, this time with the Year 7s at Cumberland HS.

The camp this year was held at the Great Aussie Bush Camp in Tea Gardens, Central Coast. They were joined by all of the year 7 students and a few of their teachers. It was a 3-day 2-night event with plenty of outdoor adventure as well as indoor team-building activities.

The attendees left Cumberland early morning on Monday the 15th and arrived in Tea Gardens just before 11am. They were divided into 6 groups and went through a series of fun activities like tree-top adventure, giant swings, canoeing, mud-runs, bush walking, campfire, performance nights, and other challenges.

Ethan came back home on Wednesday happy and exhausted. He's looking forward to the next one. And being the thoughtful boy that he is, he used his allowance money to buy a souvenir koala stuff toy for Erin.
